Welcome to Shared Energy, a small group of people who support each other and others outside to make the changes we all need to make in our lives to cope with steeply rising energy prices and to lessen the risks of climate change.

We will pilot projects, develop talks and workshops, provide information and consultancy. We aim to be an example of shared activity on energy issues, which people can copy.

We will keep updating this website with our activities and what you can do. Please visit us again.

Going carbon neutral

Ann Link has completed the eco-renovation of her new home in Lewes. Details are still available as a blog on the Guardianís website, and the house is an Old Home Superhome , with energy demand cut by 72%.

There is a growing network of Transition Towns and many other areas have started the journey. Eg. Ashton Hayes.

In Lewes, a group in Transition Town Lewes has written a response ( 1.1m pdf) to Lewes District Councilís Local Development Framework consultation. The council is already well aware of climate and energy issues and has signed up to 10:10 to reduce its carbon emissions by 10% in 2010. It is already well on the way and planning to recruit more individuals and organisations on 10:10:10 (10 October 2010).
